Breckenridge Wedding

Sitting down to write this blog post about the wedding I had in Breckenridge at the end of July 2021 just feels a little overwhelming because there is just so many good things that come to mind. I truly couldn’t have been luckier to have found a better bride, groom, and countless others attending the wedding.

This wedding was actually during a HUGE storm in the middle of the summer. There was such a huge rainstorm that I had to travel an extra couple of hours both to and from the wedding because there were mudslides closing the highway! The rainstorm was very intense for about two days and there was a lot of concern that we wouldn’t be able to even have the ceremony outside.

The lodge at Breckenridge was an incredible place to get married with such a beautiful view of the mountains. The rooms to get ready were gorgeous and it was a wonderful place to stay overnight with family and friends. Right outside of the lodge in the parking lot was where we did the first look. The parking lot was filled with flowers and was so easy to get INCREDIBLE photos just right outside of our door. We also were in a bit of a hurry because we wanted to beat the rain, so having so many beautiful options for photos so close was a godsend.

When the ceremony started there were clouds and a little bit of thunder, but nothing had started yet. We managed to get through the ENTIRE ceremony AND family photos without getting rained on! Right when we finished the last of the family photos it started to pour. I couldn’t believe how well everything worked out to have a the exact location that they wanted for their wedding and not have any problems with the weather.

The bride and groom were truly so kind, I think that was my favorite part of the entire wedding. The bride, to me, reminded me of a fairy tale princess who was kind, served her people, and was completely gorgeous! 🙂 haha the whole package! She danced with the children attending her wedding for hours. She thanked everyone who attended and was so patient and relaxed. I was taking notes the whole time just watching from her example! I was having a hard time with my truck breaking down and she offered to help in any way that she could. I mean on her wedding day she was offering to help me with whatever problems I was going through. If there ever was a wedding to have some technical difficulties, this was definitely the right one. I believe God puts people in our path and I truly believe this bride was put in my path during this wedding to be a light and example to me.

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did taking them!
