Save The Date Ideas

Hey everyone! I have a few weddings coming up soon and wanted to share my favorite website for resources regarding Save the Date Ideas, Thank you cards, Wedding Date Chance Cards, and more!

First I’d like to say that weddings this year, and this upcoming year, are unpredictable. So many clients have reached out to me with fears and concerns about their future wedding. I can’t even imagine how difficult it must be to try to plan one of the most important days of your life and not know if it will be canceled due to a pandemic. As crazy and unpredictable as your future wedding may be, I want you to know that I am here for you every step of the way and I am ready to help.

One of the resources that I think will help with your wedding (and the curve balls that you may face) is this website called Basic Invite. I want to highlight a few of Basic Invite’s greatest resources for brides and dive into each one.

Save the Date Ideas/Change the Date Cards

For all of the clients that hire me for their wedding, I send a questionnaire at the time that I am officially booked. This questionnaire asks questions like, “Do you want me to take photos of your details?” Wedding details include your rings, invitations, shoes, earrings, etc. This is a perfect example of a details shot that I will take during your wedding if you order invitations from Basic Invite. This shot is so timeless and something you will LOVE to have as part of your final gallery. I highly recommend giving me your invitations beforehand so I can create something like what is shown above.

I was married 4 years ago, and just this last week my cousin sent me a picture of our wedding invitation that she’s kept all these years. I sent her a picture in return of her wedding invitation that I had also kept for 5 years. It made me realize how important and cherished these wedding invitations really are. Your family members and friends won’t just hang these on their fridge for a few weeks, but they will keep them for years to look back on your beautiful wedding.

On Basic Invite, they have just created a “Wedding Date Change Cards” option under their wedding invitations. I think this is such a great idea because so many couples have had to change the date of their wedding due to COVID. If you did have to change your wedding, or if you might have to in the future, DEFINITELY check this out!

When I saw the Change the Date cards on their website it made me feel like I was a part of a community that understood what I was going through. I am not a bride during this pandemic, but this is my business is. All of my 2020 brides rescheduled their weddings or just eloped. I think that when we have all gone through something difficult together it unites us and we grow stronger. Seeing these change the date cards made me realize that we can change the date, send out a new card, and move forward with hope.

Okay, there’s more! Check out some more of my favorite features about Basic Invite.

There’s Almost Unlimited Colors – Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. You can change the color of each element on a card, with over 180 different color options. The card can be exactly how you want it, down to the littlest detail. This is what sets them apart from any other online stationery company and is their biggest draw in my opinion.

They have Custom Samples – Basic Invite allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their invitation so they can see the card’s paper quality and how it will print before they have to place their final order.

Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes – They are just as colorful with their envelopes as they are with their invitations. Customers can choose from over 40 different envelope colors so that they can make their invitation stand out even before it is opened. All of their envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be closed quickly and easily (Which I love).

Over 900 Wedding Invitation Sets – Each of their wedding invitations are part of a set. They have all the wedding stationery you need, like save the dates, wedding invitations, enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs, and even matching thank you cards! That way you can create them all to the theme and colors of your wedding and do them all in the same place.

Free Address Collection Service – They have a free address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. Share a link via social media or email, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing.

Another Option is their Seal & Send Wedding Invitations – Their seal and send wedding invitations are an all-in-one wedding invitation with a tear-off RSVP postcard included. The Seal & Send is their newest collection and I think brides would LOVE them. Currently they offer them in over 30 designs including foil options, and, like everything else, they are customizable. What’s special about the Seal & Sends is that guest’s addresses are printed on the front of each invitation so no envelope is even necessary! All you have to do is share a link, collect guest addresses, and upload them onto your design. Once you receive your order all you have to do is add postage, fold your invites, and secure them with a sticker! Simple and easy.

Wedding Websites

Having a wedding website can be such an incredible way to share your story, engagement portraits, and more. You can instantly upload all of your wedding details, along with images. and a convenient map with directions for your guests. I know of many couples that are having a small, intimate wedding outdoors so the risk of COVID is substantially less. I think being able to add a map for your guests can be such a wonderful idea for all the weddings that are happening in a special outdoor location.

Free Wedding Websites – Their wedding websites are completely customizable. They’re mobile friendly and super easy to use. You can instantly upload all of your wedding details, along with images, and a convenient map with directions for your guests (which I talked about above). You can also choose from 180 custom colors, and a design suite to match your wedding invitations!

I hope you are able to look into Basic Invite and use some of their incredible resources. Please message me if you have any other questions about what they offer, and be sure to check out their social media links included below!
