It’s pretty sad when your favorite neighbor moves away from you. BUT, it’s also pretty amazing when that neighbor messages you about doing their family photos! I am so thankful that Sam asked me to do her family photos so I could see her again, and her incredible son. I mean this with all of my heart- they are SUCH. KIND. PEOPLE.
When we first moved into our home I hardly ever left the house. Matthew was just barely born and we weren’t exactly getting to know every one of our neighbors at that point. Sam knocked on our door one day with her son with a huge garbage bag of toys. Her son gave it to us and she explained that she had been given baby items freely throughout her life and wanted to pass it on. She also wanted to show her son how to give freely and how special it made other people feel. She didn’t even know us – at all! It was an act of kindness that I will NEVER forget. Those toys we still use today. I am so thankful for such kind and amazing people around me.
