I couldn’t wait to post this session with one of my favorite families of all time! I might write a little too much about how amazing this family is, but hopefully you’ll come to realize that they are deserve it!
As a little back story, Taylor (my husband) grew up in Delta, Colorado and is completely in love with this little town. When we got married he told me that Delta was the only place that he wanted to live permanently. When we started looking for a house to buy we contacted Katie (The beautiful mother and wife in these photos) to see if she could help us to find the perfect home. It was a few months before we would be moving out, but Katie didn’t mind and showed us as many houses as we asked. She knew so much about her job and helped us to go through all of the options as first time home buyers.
When we decided which house we were going to buy Katie walked us through the whole process. We literally knew nothing about buying a house, but Katie never made me feel stressed or worried about the process. Our loan came through a little later than we expected and Katie was there every day checking in and making sure that things were running smoothly and letting us know that she was on our side. Just so you know, we had moved to Colorado and had a baby and were trying to buy a house all in basically the same week 🙂 haha. We will NEVER do that again, but if I had to do it again I wouldn’t do it with anyone but Katie.
When we finally closed on our house she brought us a gift card for a place to eat out to celebrate and a vase full of flowers. Not to mention the fact that when we had our baby she brought over a baby blanket for our son that is still his most cherished possession to this day. Taking her family pictures was such an hour because she is so dedicated, kind, and hard working. She is also an INCREDIBLE mother and I loved being able to capture all of the emotions and memories of their family together.
If you are looking for an amazing friend/realtor in Colorado I highly recommend Katie Schmalz!! She goes above and beyond for her clients and I don’t know how she does it all. Our family owes so much to Katie! 🙂
Also, isn’t her baby girl SOOO CUTE!! I can’t believe how sweet these photos turned out and almost want to frame them on my own wall! The glow of the sunset made for the perfect light for their family photos.
